Japanese Chin Mascot
On July 16 had dinner at Osaka in Northampton, MA, and would rate my experience--food and ambience plus service with five stars!*****
What was especially charming was that the restaurant seems to have a mascot, a Japanese Chin dog named Cato. Reminds me of The Bulldog Restaurant/Club in Amsterdam, Holland.
Lovely full coated little black and white dog. This is the national dog of Japan, a breed developed by Japanese Emperors over the centuries.

Tuna

Casual and Romantic

Best Japanese Around
My fiance and I both enjoy Japanese cuisine, and agree that Osaka's has the best around. All in the area are good, but no other deserves 5 stars in all categories. Try the hibachi for fun. The sushi is the best I've tried on the east coast. The staff are very courteous, and the hibachi chefs are among the most entertaining. [04 Feb 2007 14:50:11]
