General Gao Chicken The General Gao chicken at Great Chow is not as good as the same dish at some other area restaurants.
Great Chow's lacks flavor, crispiness, spiciness and white meat. It's hardly spicy and lacks the little peppers. [30 Jan 2005 16:01:25]

Best Chinese Around Come on now you're in Quincy, where the hell else you going to go? This is one of my favorite places in this cultureless town. [24 Dec 2001 16:28:29]

I Agree with Quincy Pete Chef Chow is good...there's nowhere else to go. God help us! Why can't this end of the Red Line be like the other end? I'm moving to Davis Square. [31 Mar 2002 19:13:43]

Davis Square Stinks, but Great Chow Is the Best I've been to the Orient before hunting for rugs and I can tell you Great Chow tops them all. Not greasy like these other Asian places, Great Chow has the best Crab Rangoon around Boston. [25 Dec 2002 18:41:52]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: crab Rangoon

Quincy Location Super food. I've tried many things on the menu, never been disappointed, and I'm a pain in the ass. [02 May 2003 22:00:46]

Great Chow Is Really Great Chow This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Quincy. It is still geared toward American palates, but the food is not typical Chinese fast food. [11 Jul 2003 16:17:48]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Hunan crispy fish, pan fried ravioli

Great Chow It is the best Chinese in Quincy. They take the time to make even the very basic appetizers fresh. Everything I've ever had here has been very good [except jumbo fried shrimp, overcooked and too much thick batter]. They do good older style, and some gourmet, dishes very well. Their Pad Thai is unusual - it's good, just different. The noodles are not the standard Pad Thai issue, and it has lingering heat in a very exotic and delicate manner. Yum! [18 Jun 2005 22:55:45]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: orange chicken, tofu with shrimp

As Good as Anything I've Had in Chinatown Everything is great, except the Peking ravioli are a little different from the big meaty ones found elsewhere. That aside, very highly recommended! [07 Mar 2006 16:34:51]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: spicy fish, Great Chow delight

Consistent The thing I hate about Chinese food is the lack of consistencey. Great Chow is always the same and always good. [03 Jul 2006 11:16:11]

Good Food, Cheesy Fortune Cookies Good food; house lo mein wasn't that great. Fortune cookies were the worst; they should find another distributor. [23 May 2007 19:54:16]
