Good Food but Deplorable Service Causes Customers to Not Return The decor is absolutely adorable and most of the food was really amazing. My dish, the fresh rigatoni with wild mushrooms and duck, was good, but not worth the $19. We sat at 8pm on a Monday night and waited 45 minutes for our waitress to take our food order. Then waited another 45-60 minutes for our food to come out. Again, our waitress pulled a disappearing act and we had to ask another waiter to wrap our meals and bring our check. Our waitress brought the check herself, after another 10 minute wait. She only had one table by this point, us. Although the food was decent, the revolting service of Stephanie will cause us not to return. [17 Feb 2004 10:37:12]

Excellent Food, Excellent Service, One of the Best Meals I Have Ever Had I felt the need to respond to the previous review, as it is certainly not indicative of the dining quality of the restaurant.
The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is charming and warm. I have dined at Caffe Bella several times, and all experiences I have had with the waitstaff have been extremely good. The staff, and particularly the owner/head chef (Mr. Patrick Barnes), are attentive and accomodating to the specific needs of customers.
Having been in the restaurant business in Florida for a long time, I have come to expect high standards, and I have never been disappointed with the service at Caffe Bella.
Almost all of the food is outstanding, and I especially recommend a special appetizer: occasionally, they have fresh figs drizzled in honey and stuffed with melted gorgozonla cheese. Served with prosciutto, this is one of the most heavenly tasting dishes I have ever had in my life, and I don't know of any establishment, even in Italy, that does it better. [29 Oct 2004 01:06:08]

Amazing Food, Great Service I have been to Caffe Bella twice and both times the food was amazing. The tuna steak, which was served along side tasty roasted potatoes and delicious vegatbles, was cooked perfectly. The pork tenderloin was also unbelievable - tender and served with a succulent wine sauce. The service was friendly, informative, and timely. I recommend Caffe Bella for a special occasion. Outstanding Caffe Bella has a well-deserved reputation for outstanding food. Try the saute shellfish appetizer (serves two); it's the best appetizer that we've had anyplace, including Italy. Caffe Bella is our "go to place" for all special occasions. [07 Oct 2005 17:35:08]

Great Food, Great Service Enjoyed their homemade roasted red peppers. Great wine list. The cod with cannelini beans is my staple, but have had the bay scallops with angel hair...to die for!
I have taken my closest friends and relatives there and they have all liked it and would go back.
Service was fine; waitress was very nice and accomodating. [25 Apr 2006 16:53:44]

Many Times We have been to Caffe Bella about 25 times and only one time had a bad time, but the food was always great. (First date there and proposed marriage there. She said yes. Twelve years now.) Pork chops are great but do not eat too much of the terrific bread before dinner. [05 Aug 2006 11:07:07]

The Best Around The location surprises you, tucked in a small strip plaza in Randolph, you do not expect it to be as amazing as it is. The food is always top notch. My favorite appetizer is the Cape Cod saute pan for two. Never had a bad meal. Wine list is great. Weekends, expect a long wait without reservations! Well worth it in my opinion. Always Good Many visits over the years and always great food. Sometimes a wait to get in and sometimes a wait to get served, but always worth the wait. All the seafood dishes are really wonderful. [23 Oct 2006 17:56:16]

Never Disappointed Would not be a stretch to say my husband and I have eaten at Cafe Bella over 99 times since they opened! The little neck appetizer is by far the best around. No one, in our opinion, comes close. The Cafe has perfected that and many other dishes. The service is consistent. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Although the prices have gone up, up ,up over the years, there has never been a time we left saying, "I wish we went some place else." [01 Aug 2007 20:14:21]

Amazing Food, Deplorable Service I have been to Caffe Bella several times, and the service has always been slow, but the waitstaff was pleasant and the food is amazing. Last night, however, we waited over 5 minutes for the maitre'd to seat us despite the availability of numerous tables, as he was busy having a conversation with two of the guests and did not even acknowledge our presence.
Our entree order was then reportedly "lost" when we inquired after 40 minutes as to its whereabouts, and after another 30 minutes we were told that it would be the next order that the cook made. The talkative maitre'd, however, had nothing to say to us and we were charged full price for our two appetizers and bottle of wine. In light of the deplorable way in which we were treated, this was my last trip to Caffe Bella. [17 Aug 2007 14:56:43]
