Squirrel Food for A**holes The food tasted like my blind grandmother's week old leftovers. Whoever owns this place is a complete idiot. What a greedy person. The portions made me feel like a prisoner. The staff was great but the white haired guy with his jacket half on pissed me off because he kept pacing by my table. (He looked like a real a**hole.) I've been here twice. The food was good; the service was great. Atmosphere is casual. Service is friendly. Menu is pretty extensive. [16 Jan 2002 15:48:55]

Great Piano Musc Food was decent but piano was incredible. I didn't get his name, but the guy with the beard really could sing. [08 Apr 2003 22:59:26]

Love the Cobb's Salad I just love this place. The food is affordable. There is parking. The wait staff is great. You can get a discount movie ticket if you buy a entree. The martinis are super though expensive. The only drawback is that I've found it a bit chilly at times. Those fans go all the time. I have had chicken and broccoli, and the lobster roll was loaded with lobster. The bread! Oh, the bread... [31 Dec 2003 17:56:40]

Too Disgusted My husband and I went to Rick's Cafe on Saturday, May 1, 2004. After being seated, we waited for 15 minutes for a waitstaff person to at least acknowledge us. We got up and asked for the manager. We explained to her that it was unacceptable how the service was since there were only six tables in the restaurant that were occupied (not busy at that time - 2:45 in the afternoon). She proceeded to tell me that all she can do is say she is sorry. I then questioned whether she was really the manager; she stated that she was. As my husband and I were walking out, she said under her breath, "If you don't like the service, don't come back." I was totally flabbergasted. I have been there before and never had a problem like that. Last time for me. [02 May 2004 07:52:09]

Stay Away A few years ago we ate there and the meal wasn't very good. Last Saturday we decided to try again as any restaurant could have a bad day. We too, had to wait 15 minutes for service then another 15 minutes for the drinks to be served. Whatever they served my wife, it wasn't what she ordered. It was late afternoon and was not busy. The waitress did the following: 1. Failed to give us silverware. 2. Did not give us bread with the meal. 3. Forgot to order the appetizer.
I had Chicken Marsala and it had no flavor of Marsala. [08 Aug 2004 08:35:50]

Yummmy This is some of the best food around. Friendly people and great food make this a favorite of myself and my friends when trying to catch a movie. The fast service allows us time to eat before the show so we don't have to buy pricey movie food. Pizza is classic bar pizza, so expect it to be a little thin, but delicious. Great job! Poor Service On Saturday, February 26, 2006, my friends and I went to Rick's after a movie for some dessert and coffee. The bill was $34.00, so we gave the waitress $40.00 even though she made us feel very uncomfortable during the service (almost like she was rushing us out...perhaps it was because we only ordered desert). Anyway, about 10 minutes later, she came back and said "Was everything ok?", we answered "yes". She then said, "well you only gave me $.80 for a tip". I told her that she absolutely had the wrong table because we gave her a tip and it was more that 15%. We were extremely insulted! We then asked to see the manager, who didn't even apologize and had the nerve to look at her watch as we described the incident. I used to like Rick's, but my friends and I will never go back there again and I will be sure to spread the word about their poor customer service and manager. [27 Feb 2006 16:51:45]

Great Food The food at Rick's is great. The Caesar salad is large with creamy dressing; the steak tips and turkey tips are juicy and flavorful. My favorite is the salmon, very tasty.
The service is hit or miss, however. Sometimes it is great; sometimes it takes a while for the waitstaff to approach the table; sometimes I don't get my salad until I have to remind them and it comes with the meal. More often than not, the service is fine. And since I know it might be an off-day, I plan for that, because I like the food enough to go anyway. [26 May 2006 12:24:09]

Don't Bother Unless you are late for the movie next door, do yourself a favor and skip it. Mediocre food coupled with poor service leaves me cold. The piano player was great though. And who is the white haired guy with the attitude? [08 Aug 2006 11:39:08]
