Worth the Trip
We traveled from Columbus, Ohio to visit Boston and planned our day around a trip to Kelly's Roast Beef. It was well worth it. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty. This will be a tradition for us whenever we visit Revere Beach. [10 Jun 2002 09:29:19]

Fried Clams and Roast Beef Sandwich
One of the original eateries that had been embroiled in the decades-old North-of-Boston Roast Beef Sandwich wars. In my opinion, this is the winner! Where else could you find a roast beef sandwich served with horseradish as a standard condiment? And do not overlook other items on the menu such as the excellent fried full-belly clams. They are always light golden brown (fresh oil) and fried at the correct high temperature to provide a crispy coating over succulent clams that are never greasy in mouth feel. Since early 2007, all the fried foods are trans-fat free! An excellent eatery with friendly service and excellent food. Their new Medford location on 35 Revere Beach Parkway, a former KripsyKreme store, is modern and fully air-conditioned if you want to get away from the beach, which is strictly take-out and without any seating; although there are plenty of benches across the street right on the beach.
