Top: United States: MA: Salisbury Description American bar and grill. Sunday breakfast buffet. There is another location in Peabody. She then put the tray down on a divider and you know what happened next. Our meals were on the floor. Luckily we have good senses of humor and laughed because my girlfriend was now dripping with rasberry vinagrette dressing. But it was all about the waitress and her mishap. Never asked my girlfriend if she needed napkins or was she o.k. it was all about her. She never came out again from the kitchen and now we were being stared at and completely ignored. I have owned a busy hair salon in Saugus for 17 years and would never treat my most aggravating client like we were treated. It gets better! So 10 minutes later a young gent brings more food. A taco salad which he proceeds to spill the dressing which was ordered on the side because we weren't sure if we were going to like it. Now the shell is floating in it but he puts it down anyway along with a sizzling fajita dish but big boo-boo - he forgot the oven mitt for the burning hot dish! Of course I go to move it and get burnt and my girlfriend beside me says let me help and pushes it not realizing it just burnt me and she gets burnt. Now we are still being ignored. Everyone is acting like we are making all these mistakes. I really thought we were on a hidden cameras show. I don't think I'll ever get my friend from Saugus to my Salisbury Sylvan Street Grill again. The manager did treat us for the night but that wasn't until we demanded to see someone which should have been automatic when we asked for ice to soak our burnt hands in. I had blisters by morning. It's like getting hair dye in my client's eye and blaming her for looking. [13 Jun 2003 12:31:45] Best Grill in Town I took my wife and kids there for my wife's birthday one Friday night in August. My wife and I both got the fish special and our kids got the kids meals that were affordable and appropriately sized. And to top it off my wife got a complimentary birthday cake. Not only was the food good but the service was top notch. The cocktails were delivered quickly and made perfectly. I suggest Sylvan street Grille in Salisbury to all our friends. [04 Nov 2004 19:54:15] Great Apps This Place Would Be Great if.... 1st visit: filet was the worst. Fatty, very poor cut (was told "excellent") and overcooked and cold potatoes. Staff was horrible. Very slow service. It took us 45 minutes to get appetizers on a Tuesday night and the place was not even 1/4 full. Had to ask two other staff members where our waitress was. (Everyone dining with two hungry children loves to wait extended periods of time for meals.) 2nd visit with a friend: Sat at bar, had to ask 3 times for my drink (a simple bottled beer no less). What a jerk I was for interrupting her while giggling with the other staff. Waited 1/2 hour for food to find out the girl who took our order never put it in and went home. Was told there was a mistake, no apology offered, not even a simple "sorry about that"... 3rd visit: I didn't even want to go. A friend from out of town had his sites on it and I couldn't change his mind. Now, in their defense, my friend said the day staff is always horrible. He said the night staff is experienced, prompt and pleasant. [15 Mar 2007 12:59:27]
