Wedding Reception Sun 12/2/2001
I was a guest at a wedding reception yesterday. It was the first time I've been to the Spencer Country Inn and was impressed with it. The food was good, service was good. The bar was efficient and professional. Overall, a very favorable impression - until I went into the ladies room. I was very surprised to see their very old fashioned way of drying hands. If they do not want to install an automatic dryer, at least provide paper towels, and not those dirty and very unsanitary pieces of cloth that are used over and over. I, among others, would not use them. We "drip-dried" our hands. I hope they will change their method of hand-drying in the bathroom.    [03 Dec 2001 14:24:06]

Wedding Reception
We came from Michigan to a wedding reception and just loved the Spencer Country Inn. The hall size was so large there was room for an incredible amout of guests. A good sized coat room and the decor was just perfect for pictures. Loved the fireplace.    [23 Oct 2002 08:28:48]

Wedding Reception
I was at the Spencer Counrty Inn for a large wedding reception. The fireplace was beautiful and the hall was very spacious. The chicken I was served was not fully cooked (quite pink in the middle) and the potatoes were very bland. I mentioned it to the waitress and she removed my plate but did not replace it. When she served me the cake and coffee she very sarcastically said she hoped that they were cooked enough for me. It was rude and uncalled for. Had My Wedding There
I had my wedding outside and it was beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that other customers were going in and out of the inn as my wedding party was trying to enter. Otherwise the food was good and hot, and everyone ate.    [25 Mar 2005 18:34:19]

A Local Historian's Delight
This is the place to go to really get the flavor of the area's history. We've been there both for a casual lunch and on a major holiday. Sandwiches and salads were tasty and satisfying, and they handled the bustle of a busy holiday very well, serving both a buffet and sit-down service.
