Felt Like I Was in a High School Cafe Based on the People in the Place I was very surprised and disappointed upon visiting Bin 479. I expected first class service and a higher class of patrons for a place with such an extensive wine list and high end menu. What I experienced is a bartender who was more impressed with the hours he spent in the gym and how he could flex to show them off to the waitresses. At over $60 per person for an entree, salad and glass of wine I would expect the bartender to attend to me, not his audience. To make things worse, there was a party of six that was very loud, drunk and rude taking up all of the bar area. I was "entertained" with such wonderous conversation as information on how one of the women had a very bad miscarriage, complete with gory details of the size of her blood clots and the "trauma" that the chief of police in Sturbridge caused her when she called for help and the fact that he was a "XXXXhead" who just was attracted to her but wouldn't help her because she wasn't interested in him.
I will say that the food was decent. The filet was a bit rare for medium but still flavorful.
I would love to be able to recommend this establishment but can't because the staff and some patrons don't seem to understand the "class" the restaurant should be in. [17 Mar 2007 22:46:39]

Great Place, Great Wine, Great Food The wine list is fantastic for the Sturbridge area and they have some excellent house wines and a very generous pour. Don't miss the top notch Martinis and Cosmo is made perfectly. Nice atmosphere and the service is always very good. You will pay for it but the food is worth it. Everyone that I have sent there or brought to dinner there has been very satisfied. If you like lobster rav, giant shrimp cocktails, perfectly cooked sushi grade tuna, or my favorite, the melt in your mouth pork osso bucco, you have to go there. [29 Mar 2007 16:42:54]

Best Place to Eat in Sturbridge The food, service and atmosphere is exceptional. Bin 479 is the best - great food and fabulous service - you can tell these people love their jobs! Everything on my table, from wine, appetizers, entrees to dessert, was amazing. [30 Apr 2007 15:44:05]

Ambience and a glass of wine...this is a great spot! We stopped in after a long day at Brimfield...we were nervous our casual clothes were wrong for Bin 479, but we were quickly and receptively greeted by the owner, and seated. The restaurant bar is beautiful, well designed with comfortable big chairs in one area, quiet tables in another, and a cozy bar. Not a hint of antique Sturbridge...this is fine and elegant with a cool urban edge, but still edging on casual and warm. We enjoyed delicious wine, and a terrific and cheese and fruit plate that was perfect with our wine. The service was fantastic, friendly, attentive, efficient. The place is immaculate and clean. Although we didn't eat, couples on either side of us simply raved about their dishes...we can't wait to come again! [19 May 2007 21:43:20]

Unique atmosphere - great energy and great food I have been going to the Bin since it opened and recommending it to others. The service is always excellent and top notch. The food again...is always excellent and flawless. The aspect of the Bin that makes it most unique is the diversity of the range of the experience. It provides and elegant dining experience, but also can be a fun and energetic environment depending upon the night you go. It has certainly brought a much needed positive energy to the Central Massachusetts area. [18 Jun 2007 20:40:17]
