Description
An upscale restaurant with an elegant but relaxed atmosphere, and a changing menu of classic and contemporary Italian cuisine. A full bar and function space give the restaurant an open feel, yet it remains appropriate for a romantic dinner.

The Best Restaurant in Sturbridge Excellent food, great service, and a nice atmosphere, what more could one ask for?
Rovezzi's is by far the best place for good eats in Sturbridge. Although it can be noisy at times, rarely will you ever find a time when you can't find a romantic table for two off in a corner somewhere. My wife and I enjoy the food so much we have made it our weekly "date place" and never miss it. Not only is the food great, but so are the people. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and do their very best to accomodate all of your needs.
The food is always fresh and hot and the menu changes regularly; so the place never gets dull. The portions are on the large side, but the leftovers are always delicious the next day. The desserts are to die for. I have never had one I didn't like. When it comes to sweets Patrick is a god in the kitchen. [14 Jul 2003 15:38:29]

Salty Food My husband and I returned to Rovezzi's (their new location) recently and were very disappointed in our meals. The calamari was way too salty but we got through that. Each of our entrees were almost intolerable due to the high sodium content. In retrospect, we should have returned our meals, we drank lots of water that evening and the next day we had headaches. I feel use of salt or sodium laced products to excess is a way of covering culinary deficits. We won't be back for a long time. [03 Sep 2003 16:02:55]

I Drive Over an Hour... I stumbled upon this restaurant when I stayed at the Sturbridge Country Inn a few years back and Rovezzi's was located in the Inn. It was tiny to say the least. Not being familiar with the area I ate at the Inn that night and was soooo glad I did. Since that time I have been back 3 or 4 more times (at their new location) and have enjoyed every meal. It can be a little noisy and tough to get into on certain nights, but it is really worth it. [11 Sep 2003 14:34:42]

Disagree After reading the above review of Rovezzi's, I would have to disagree with the writer's opinion of the food being too salty. My wife and I have never had an inferior meal there. It is a regular dining spot for us and we don't think there are any culinary deficits on the menu (although we are only half way through the menu).
Perhaps the previous writer has a low tolerance for sodium. [13 Sep 2003 15:12:27]

Best Italian Restaurant in Massachusetts Rovezzi's is by far the best place to eat. Its food is unbelievable, the staff is awesome, and the atmosphere is so inviting. My family makes a weekly visit if not more. If you haven't been, you must try it. [08 Oct 2003 22:31:44]

The Best of Italy in MA We went ther the Sunday after Thanksgiving 2003, to wind down after the holiday weekend, and boy did we! We arrived with 2 other couples and were seated at the bar for a drink before we sat. Then we were kindly escorted by Joe to our beautiful table in a private room, with a lovely waitress (sorry, I forgot her name).
Then we got wonderful appetizers and were treated to the freshest salad I have ever eaten in my life (arugula with gorgonzola - yum yum). Then our entrees were not just evenly priced, but had great attention to presentation too (I got the pasta with chicken and tomatoes over a beautiful and unique cheese sauce). We chose a bottle of white and red with dinner that were wonderful choices by the waitress. And the desserts...need I say more. Absolutely wonderful place in the Heart of New England with an absolutely wonderful waitstaff, and attentive ownership. Thanks for a great meal. [30 Nov 2003 22:45:49]

Half Way Point I live in Norwalk, CT and my father in Boston. We occasionally meet half way for dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant when another local restaurant could not accommodate us due to a private function, but referred us to Rovezzi's. By far the best Italian around and in a great spot. The service was also outstanding. I have yet to take Jen there, amongst the many places I have already promised, hahahahaha! [28 Dec 2003 13:43:16]

Having had a wonderful "first meal" at Rovezzi's, I was searching the Internet for a telephone number to make a reservation for a special birthday dinner. I found this web site and decided to add my two cents.
I would recommend it without hesitation. The food choices were excellent and delicious. [05 Apr 2004 13:48:10]

This Place Stinks, Literally We walked in the front door and had this weird feeling we should have turned around and left right away; unfortunatly hindsight is 20-20. The aroma of septic crept out from the restrooms and kitchen area. Perhaps the cleaning person hadn't worked that day. The food would have been good "at best" if only not for the smell overwhelming us. The server said she would deal with smell but they had run out of disinfectant spray. We felt disgusted by the end of our entrees and didn't stay for dessert. [01 Feb 2005 19:26:16]
