Not Worth the Wait
After reading the reviews on this restaurant, we couldn't wait to try it out. We made reservations and on Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, and my son, fiance and I were seated at 4:00 (3:30 reservation).

The inattentive service was probably the most disappointing part of the experience. Never having the water glasses filled, having to ask for "a roll" where in one person's review, they delivered a "basket" of warm crusty rolls. My son asked twice if he could "have one more roll", when we could find the host.

For appetizers, my son had the melon with proscuitto (very ill-presented - not appetizing at all) and I had the stuffed mushroom which was very good. My fiance had the asparagus soup du jour which he said he enjoyed. The house salads made with baby greens and house dressing (cucumber) were the best part of the meal. The salads were fresh, very tasty and served at the right temperature.

I would definitely suggest the salad. The meals, baked halibut, roast pork loin all arrived with asparagus and parslied mashed potatoes and were "warm" at best. Again, we waited for rolls, water, etc.

Desserts were scrumptious. I would give the meal overall a 7 and the service a 5. Outside of the delicious salad and dessert, nothing special.    [16 Apr 2001 07:08:51]

One of the Best
Have eaten lunch here many, many times and a dinner once. On all occasions, the food has been excellent and nicely presented. Service has been very good also. I don't know how they provide the meals they do at the price they charge. Highly recommended.    [10 Apr 2005 12:30:40]

Great For Lunch
Visited on 2/10/07. Excellent Service.
Clam Chowder was the best I've ever had. Friends said the same about the Onion Soup. Scallops Provencal wxcellent and the dessert menu was so extensive it was hard to chose one, but the Bananas with Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce was delicious.
