I thought the food was excellent - they have great specials during the week. I ordered the prime rib and it was delicious. The prices are great for the value. Lost Gem in Tewksbury
Tucked away on Route 38 was a seedy bar with great food...who knew?

While the atmosphere was old fashioned and a little unwelcoming at first, all that changed when Meghan, our friendly waitress, came over and chatted us up.

We decided to go for the specials as they were very inexpensive and sounded delicious. I had the braised lamb shanks with lamb gravy, mashed potatoes, and butternut squash. The meat was moist and fell right off the bone. The butternut squash was sweet with honey, butter, and brown sugar and tasted like candy. A big plate of food for only $8.95, how do you beat that?

My husband ordered the Surf and Turf special which was a half rack of baby back ribs along with a heaping pile of fried scallops.

Smelly Smokefest

Good Food - Reasonable Price
Was looking for some live music and decided to try out J Rags. It's divided into restaurant and lounge. The food was great and the service excellent to the point where their chef, Steve, came out to ask us if we enjoyed the meal. The decor can use some upgrading but the price and attentiveness was exceptional. We went into the lounge looking for some music and is a good sized sports bar and they serve the same menu although it is smoky. The band was talented but not that danceable from the crowd reaction - they focused on featuring their guitars but there are rotating bands and I will return because it looked like a fun crowd.    [12 Apr 2004 13:21:19]

Good Food - Good Music
The steak tips were perfectly marinated and came with rolls and 2 side orders. More than enough for this famished diner.

Good music on Friday and Saturday nights too.
