Delicious Find Our meal began with appetizers that were exquisite. The mee-grob simply melted in our mouths, we highly recommend it! The goong hom pa in sweet and sour sauce was delicious. Our main course consisted of beef and eggplant cooked in a fresh basil-garlic sauce. We both love the Porchai healthy noodles, seafood and mixed vegetables in a wonderful tamarind sauce.
The two ladies make you feel at welcome the minute you enter the door. The chef prepares magical dishes that melt in your mouth. The hostess is extremely pleasant and accommodating to every request made. Together these ladies make a fine team.
The restaurant location is 1 block off Wakefield's Main Street and well worth finding your way to this wonderful establishment. We try to eat their at least once a month. When time doesn't allow for a sit down dinner, calling for take-out is always available and prompt for pickup. We strongly encourage everyone to give Porchai a try when craving Thai. Fanastic Thai Food - Hidden Gem Located just down Centre Street across from the Police Station is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Wakefield. My wife and I discovered it when looking for reasonably priced yet high quality Asian food. The pad Thai is amazing - filled with flavor and generous amounts of chicken and shrimp. Also try the spicy crispy fish which has a lime flavor and a kick from the red chili paste. The dining room is nice and the service is decent but sometimes slow. Nonetheless the food is really what you go to Porchai for. Give it a try, you won't be diappointed. [22 Jan 2006 21:24:18]

Worth Stopping In - Good Value It's tough being "The Other Thai Place" in town but for takeout, you have to give them a try. Very sweet staff who work hard to ensure you are happy. Food is freshly prepared and hot when you get it. It's not 100% the best best Thai food you ever ever had but it's reasonably priced for a hearty portion made by hard working folks. We go there frequently because it's worth it to give our business to a struggling place that really really offers a good product. Plus, it's cheaper than "the other place"! [13 Feb 2007 18:23:34]
