Not Really Sure I Like It Anymore My wife and I used to dine at Molise and things just aren't the way they used to be there.
The waitresses are not as courteous as they used to be and the wine has changed completely.
Their menu is very large which is great but the food is not the same.
I think they should revisit their old ways and get back to traditions that put them on the map in the first place. [25 Nov 2001 11:46:17]

Dining Pleasure This restaurant is a hidden jewel. I have yet to have a bad experience. The dishes are all very well prepared and presented. My favorite appetizer is the grilled baby octopus. Any special of the night is a great entree. [21 Dec 2003 13:59:22]

Awesome Best food quality and service. Chef came out of the kitchen to greet guests. Portions are great and wine list is fabulous. [22 Dec 2003 22:15:16]

Highly Recommended I've been going to Molise for many years and I think it's as good now as it's ever been. Highly recommend their luncheon buffet (only on certain days). [22 Mar 2004 12:50:30]

I Know Italian And this restaurant knows it as well. Great food, generous portions, friendly staff and eclectic atmosphere. There isn't a family-oriented Italian restaurant on the North Shore that can compare. Better news is that they have branched out to Greater Newburyport (Amesbury) and I'll be eating there this weekend to compare it to the Wakefield location. Oh, and did I mention how affordable it is? No Reservations Why? I really like this place, but if I'm going somewhere afterward, I can't chance waiting up to an hour (they were happy to tell me it might only take 30 mins!). Why not take reservations? I'll go somewhere that does and save this for an evening when I've got nothing else to do. [16 Dec 2005 14:17:59]

Whats so great? I just don't get it. Oh I know, back in the day it was fantastic. All the old timers flocked, and the Italians just loved it! It was homey and homestyle.
But it truly is average food at an average price for a long wait with minimal ambiance. Every town needs a nice local place to get a reasonable meal - and Molise is just fine for that - but if this is your one night out, date night, or a shot at a scrumptious Italian meal, you aren't going to be as satisfied.
