Good and Cheap Skip everything on the menu and go straight for the shish-kabob. It is outstanding, whether you choose chicken, lamb, beef or the combo.
The "sandwich" comes with one skewer of whichever you choose, with a small salad and rubbery-fresh pita bread. A "dinner" plate includes two skewers, rice or fries, salad, and pita.
You could not go to a supermarket and buy the ingredients for less than they charge for these shish-kabobs. Never mind the chores of marinating, skewering, and grilling.
The rest of the menu is standard stuff like cheeseburgers, spaghetti, and meatloaf. It's all decent, but none of it holds a candle to the shish-kabob.
Bring cash. They don't take plastic so that they can keep their prices low. [20 Sep 2000 09:49:42]

Good Eats The shish-kabob dinners here are superb. With it, you obtain greek salad, pita, rice, and whatever meat shishkabob you like (whether it be chicken, beef, or lamb). It's the cheapest food around and it's well worth the money. The meat is always cooked to perfection and it's a lot better than the usual pizza or subs. [13 Jul 2002 21:24:23]

Hair in Food Found a clump of hair in my shish kebob dinner.
They would not reimburse my money - last time I eat there. [04 Apr 2003 15:24:47]

Awesome Kabobs Get the chicken kabobs. The kabob "sandwich" may leave feeling a bit hungry, so get the "plate" with the fries. [28 Jul 2003 20:18:56]

The Kebab Is Very Good Great kebab and surprisingly good salad. An institution in Watertown. Great food, cheap price. The non-ambiance is actually ambiance in and of itself. [24 Sep 2003 20:18:39]

Superrrrrr Went there yesterday for lunch. I loved the shish kebab. I got the beef one, the beef was so good with a real good quality beef, rice, salad, pita bread and all below $10. Very recommended. [08 May 2004 15:29:09]

Demo's Fix I live in Andover and still go back to Demo's for a lamb shish kebab. Love it! I wish they would move north. [03 Feb 2005 17:05:56]

Shish Kebab or...Corned Beef? Believe It. Yes, Demos has delicious shish kebab. But would you believe their other must-try item is corned beef and cabbage?
Only in the Boston area would even a kebabji offer this Irish-American staple, but Demos does a bang-up job. The corned beef is tender and lean without being dry, while the cabbage, potatoes, and carrots are tasty and boiled just right: no mush here.
Indecisive diners never fear: you won't have to choose between this feast and the usual kebab unless you come on Thursday night, since corned beef is a once-per-week special. [19 Sep 2005 20:57:29]

Also Try Agreed, the kabobs are excellent, but also try the lamb chops (what a bargain!), baked lamb, meat loaf, and Greek sausages. [26 Jan 2006 16:20:08]
