By the sea dining in a relaxed bistro atmosphere. There is a dock in back, allowing float-in dining. Small appetizers and drinks are also served on the pier.
The restaurant is located near the bridge on the road to Horseneck Beach (Rte. 88).
Back Eddy came under new ownership in 2003.

Great Food - Great Atmosphere - Great People
We had 4 apps, 3 entrees and two desserts - all were fantastic.
The location on the ocean offers the best sunsets.

We Liked It So Much We Got Married There
I'm an old fan of The East Coast Grill in Cambridge, Chris Schlesinger's first restaurant, and when we heard he had a place in Westport, we headed south to give it a try. As you can tell from the headline, the place made such an impression on my wife and I (this was pre-wedding) that we decided to get married on the dock attached to the restaurant.
The first thing that our guests say to us about the wedding (aside from "how'd you trick her into marrying you?") is how unbelievable the food was. Then they ask the original question again.
In any event, the food is fantastic, and you'll have a hard time going wrong. The staff is great, very friendly and knowledgeable, the bar scene is fun, and the location at the mouth of the Westport River is unbelievably beautiful. What a Change
