Hit and Miss The chef has recently decided to emphasize "heart-healthy" dishes, many of which are quite good. There are also some nice creative dishes on the menu. I'm particularly fond of their pasta selection. But if you stick to the standard Chinese-American menu, the production is fairly mediocre. Keep away from their buffet and try something unusual, and the results might be good. [07 Mar 2001 08:40:38]

Disappointed I have read about the rave reviews of this restaurant and I was excited to try it. After a phone call a few months before, I was also excited to see the place and was considering using the banquet facilities for a party I was planning. Upon my arrival, I asked to see the banquet room and for more information on about it. I was disappointed by the lack of interest they had in my business. I was having a party for 50 people and I wanted the facilities for a Friday night. Well, according to the woman, during the time when I wanted the space, she said that they have enough clients from businesses. In other words--they didn't want my business. I explained that I spoke with someone on the phone about it, however, that did not get me anywhere. The woman was not polite and did not hide her lack of interest in what I was talking with her about. In fact, she seemed annoyed that I had interupted her preparing napkins and talking at the bar. We did have lunch because we were starved and I was not impressed. My partner did not like his food. The hot and sour soup did not have much taste to it nor did the garlic chicken. The crab rangoon were OK (the best I have had are in Pawtucket RI) and the food came out at a good pace. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend or foe though. Apparently, they don't need the customers! [23 Aug 2003 21:26:23]

Could Takeout Possibly Be That Different? As a college student, certainly convenience is key and delivery is a must. After sampling the dull, greasy, question-what-you're-really-eating Chinese food delivery for the past two years in Worcester, my fellow students and I have found heaven in Chinese food with Nancy Chang's delivery. Let me start off by saying, my humble college student roots may say one thing, but I'm certainly no stranger to good food. As a seasoned New Yorker, I've tasted everything from Le Cirque to Wendy's. Though NC's is hardly the ultimate in Chinese food, it is certainly a break from the typical Chinese food delivery place. With well packaged meals that arrive steaming hot (no paper containers, plastic reusuable ones), and delicious dishes that leave you wishing you had ordered more, NC's is definitely worth trying. The delivery may not be 15mins or less, but it's worth the wait. [10 Sep 2003 16:28:58]
