Greetings
Hi! I'm from Argentina, I'm 16 y.o.

I was surfing the net when I remembered Annapolis, and this place.

I just wanted to say that last September, when I visited this place, I stayed amused. I really loved it. It was cozy and they were very hospitable. So, I just wanted them to know that.    [08 Jan 2001 21:24:14]

Don't Go in Groups Larger than 5
First of all, we reserved, and they didn't have our reservation written down. Then we waited about 20 minutes to be waited on, then waited 10 minutes for drinks, then about 50 minutes for food, then 30 minutes for desserts. We asked for the check and waited another 10 minutes. The waiter didn't care about serving us because he got an automatic gratuity of 18% because we had 5 people in our party! However, he was really working the table next to us, talking to the ladies and being Mr. Charming, so he could get a good tip. If you go, make sure you don't have John as your server    [08 Nov 2003 16:57:39]

Nice Place for Good Food
We went for breakfast which was very good. I had read that the crepes were very good, but the one crepe dish that they had wasn't. Their homefries are excellent, though. Definitely order them!

The big fireplace was nice and a great place to relax on a snowy morning. Try to get a booth. The tables were very close to each other.    [15 Dec 2003 12:16:54]

I read several reviews before selecting this restaurant for our day trip to Annapolis. Despite several mixed reviews, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I had walked by it many times before and was curious about the touting of a #1 rating for Annapolis Restaurants in a top 100 restaurant in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. BIG MISTAKE!!! Restaurant was promoted as having a romantic ambiance; however, this was not the case. I found it to have more of a retiree/family atmosphere. With the exception of the goat cheese salad, our food was less than mediocre and certainly not worth the $18-28 entrée cost. I had Salmon with what tasted like Goya rice that I could have easily made at home - not to mention that it did not compliment the meal. Our deserts were average but nothing special and again not worth the average $8 price. We did enjoy the wine selection. Our service was ok; although management was lax in responding appropriately to a table of disruptive patrons who negatively impacted the dining experience of several parties nearby when it was brought to their attention. Don’t make the same mistake I did, listen to the reviews! I hope that taking the time to share this feedback, you will have a more memorable dining experience in Annapolis then we did!!!    [22 Aug 2006 14:56:49]

Gave it a couple of tries for special Sunday breakfasts
Agree with reviewers who cited that large parties suffer in service. We went with a party of 10 (the kiss of death) and then with a party of six (not much better). Took out-of-town guests there twice for brunch. Both times, waited 10 minutes for menus, another 10 for someone to offer drinks, another 10 to get drinks, a good 20 minutes for the food, which was served as it was made -- and still cold. Forget refills or even trying to flag a server down to get a check. Can't figure out what is up with this restaurant. Must be poor management. One positive: The seasoned breakfast potatoes are excellent. That is not enough to get me back there again. A real shame. I really wanted to like this restaurant...    [18 Jan 2007 00:08:26]

Coffee Challenged
We're locals, and enjoy dropping in for lunch if we're downtown. The French onion soup is very nice, and their salads and grilled sandwiches tasty. But their coffee - zut alors! Room temperature and old, keep your clearance from this foul stuff!    [10 Feb 2007 07:53:39]
