A foot-tapping meal This restaurant was small and well hidden near the back of the Hillsmere Plaza, but well worth the effort to find. The food was hot, fresh, and arrived quickly covering large platters rather than anything I would consider a normal sized dinner plate. The only thing better than the aroma was the flavor.
Even though their specialty is Creole they do not over spice the food taking the philosophy that it is easier to add than to take away. Since I do not enjoy overly spicy food I appreciated this immensely.
The live entertainment (Sunny Isle Blues Band the night we were there) was excellent and quite lively. There are various bands and groups who entertain each day. There is even live entertainment during the Sunday Brunch!
This will be the place to watch. It was relatively uncrowded since it is still new, but when word of this gets around they may have to start requiring reserva [14 Apr 2000 00:42:48]
