The bar stays open longer than the kitchen and will serve appetizers and snacks up to about 1:00 am most nights and until about 2:00am on Sunday and Monday mornings.

I have the Pulled Pork BBQ almost every time I go here. The platter is served with fries and cole slaw and looks almost as good as it tastes. The portions are big enough so I can't go away hungry, yet not so much that I feel I have wasted any when we leave. Great value for the money.    [10 Jul 2000 22:53:01]

What happened to Red River?
We used to go to Red River quite often but hadn't been in a while. When we went we found a 'new' restaurant in it's place!

Inside though, everything looks the same, the management is the same, and the service is the same. The only differences I noticed were in the name and the barbeque.

Red River's BBQ used to be served dry and you could add any one of six available BBQ sauce flavors right at the table.

Famous Dave's BBQ is served 'moist', i.e., it is actually prepared in BBQ sauce. The other flavours are still on the table but I found no need to experiment.

If you liked Red River you should give Famous Dave's a try. In my opinion the food has gotten even b    [28 May 2000 23:19:53]
