I haven't been terribly adventurous in my ordering at Riordan's Saloon, but I really like dishes I've gotten. The cocktails are generous. The spicy hot crab dip is great - it's worth the $8. When we run out of bread, we invariably order more so we can sop up every last bit of dip. The prime rib is another standout; it's just heavenly.

The atmosphere seems very authentic old-Annapolis-dockfront-tavern. This is the real thing, as far as I can tell. It can get loud, but this seems like the kind of bar where some rambunctiousness is called for.    [23 Aug 2003 15:30:16]
