Outstanding!!
I'm usually a very critical person, especially when I go to a restaurant. I just can't express in words the satisfaction i get when eating at Jaspers. The bar is terrific (big selection), the food and service is second to none, and the Sunday Brunch can't be beat.    [11 Nov 2001 09:32:08]

Jasper's food is SO GOOD!! I am surprised that there are not more in the metro area. Wonderful service and an awesome atmosphere! I am never disappointed when I eat there. You can't go wrong with anything on there menu!!    [30 Apr 2002 07:38:44]

Horrible
First, the hostess, was old enough to be my daughter (and I'm in my 20's!). She seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and wasn't every friendly. Once we got seated, after 15 minutes, we still didn't have a server. So I went to the front to ask the hostess, she went to find our waiter. Several moments later, he came out. When asked what the soup du jour was, he had no clue. And then he had to repeat our drink order twice to us. After waiting 15 minutes, we never recieved our drinks and just got up and left. Never will I go to Jasper's again. It was embarrassing for me because in the past I have raved about Jasper's, brought some people there that have never been, now I look like the fool. I was in Maryland visiting a friend, and she suggested that we go to Jasper's for dinner. I was very impressed. The food was delicious, nice size portions and the prices were reasonable. Disappointed
I had ordered Stuffed Potato appetizer and Surf and Turf dinner.

Stuffed Potatoes are undercooked and tasted like last night's potatoes

In the Surf and Turf Dinner, the Filet Mignon is overcooked and dried up. The Baked Potato was tasted like last night leftovers and was undercooked.    [28 Dec 2003 20:08:45]

Disappointed
The services was Horrible, the food was OK, but it took too long to get. We (9 family members) went to Jasper's on a Tuesday night. It took the server 15 minutes to come to the table, he asked what our drink order would be, but before we gave it we asked about the coupons we had -- he had to get a manager which took another 10 minutes, then the server didn't return for another 15 minutes to take the drink order. Then it took 15 minutes to get the drinks. At that time he took our order. He went away and didn't come back for 20 minutes, and it still took an additional 20 minutes for the food to come out. I don't think I will be returning and would not recommend it to anyone else.    [17 Nov 2004 12:02:28]

Jasper's Restaurant in Crofton, MD
The first thing that hit me was the awful, old, moldy smell of the place. The next thing was the ditzy, teenage hostess whose choice of clothing consisted of a sweat jacket that was at least 2 sizes too small. The only bright spot was our waiter. Although not experienced, he did make sure we had what we needed. The appetizer plates that were already on the table when you are seated, where disgusting. Someone had spit their old gum in tea bag paper and deposited it in the plate. The next item, was the dirty silverware. Where in the world was the dishwasher!! I could go on from here but by the time I'm finished I could have a book published. One last note, the food and service at the Crofton restaurant is mediocre. If you are used to old smelly buildings with subpar food, then this is the place for you.    [21 Mar 2007 15:48:04]

Hey Anonymous... :)
There are your type of people who try and try again to complain about things in the attempt to get something for nothing.. I’ve seen it at Jasper’s as well as the Cheesecake Factory… Houston’s and other well known restaurants in the greater Washington Metro area( If you're not sure what most people mean... complain about NOTHING and you'll get something "FOR FREE!!!) It's been going on for Years and TGI Friday's led the way to provide free stuff just to shut people up... just like you... :) What you're missing is that the cost for this is passed on to EVERYONE in the form of price increases... All the while you're complaining just to get free stuff...Quite frankly when I see this played out.. it makes me quite angry.

The restaurant has been in business for over 20 years.. and realizes mistakes and takes care of their good and regular guests.. You're probably neither.. so... keep freeloading.. and causing a scene.. just because a local business just might have made a mistake.. Be proud of your review too... :)

I've been taking clients there for years.. lunch and dinner. they have made mistakes, but have ALAWAYS recognized them.. made it right.. with an invitation to return..

I also want to point out that I very much appreciate this and have NEVER allowed them to give me anything "FOR FREE".

So…go and prey on some of those chain MICROWAVE Places and Just don't go to Jasper's...
