An average example of the chain
Ledo's is a local chain of franchised Pizza Parlors. The main attraction for owners is that the franchise gives them considerable freedom in what they serve. This can be good and bad: Some Ledo's are absolutely fantastic, while others are mediocre, at best. This one in Derwood used to be one of the worst, but has greatly improved and is now at least "average" for the chain.

The most important thing to know is that most Ledo's use baking powder and not yeast in the crust for their pizza. This makes the pizza the most skippable item on the menu. One the plus side, the soups, salads, and sandwiches are quite tasty, and offered with "all you can eat" options.

There is a carry out counter as well as the dining room. The latter is spartan, but clean. Its a good place to go for an inexpensive meal.    [16 May 2006 22:11:03]
