SUB-STANDARD STEAK, HIGH PRICE I WAS ONE WHO SANG THE PRAISES OF CAPT. HARVEYS. I LIVED IN DANDALK AND ESSEX ALL MY LIFE. I DECIDED I WOULD VISIT THE ESTABLISHMENT SATURDAY AT LUNCH TIME 3/17. I ORDERED A HALF OF CHEESESTEAK. A HALF LOOKS TO BE ABOUT FIVE INCHES (A WHOLE ROLL CUT IN HALF). YOU STILL HaVE TO YELL OUT YOUR ORDERS. THEY STILL OVERFILL THE ROLL (SOME PEOPLE WOULD SAY ENOUGH FOR TWO MEALS, I ONLY WANT ONE). WHEN I GOT TO THE CAR, I OPENED THE PAPER AND FOUND ABOUT HALF THE MEAT WAS SQUIGGLY FAT. THE BILL FOR HALF A CHESSESTEAK AND A MEDIUM FOUNTAIN WAS EIGHT DOLLARS AND CHANGE. WITH SUB-STANDARD MEAT, AT THAT CHARGE HE COULD HAVE FILLED MY POCKETS WITH THE MEAT. IT WAS NOT THE WAY I REMEMBERED THIS PLACE TO BE. THE ONIONS HAD BEEN ON THE GRILL FOR SO LONG THEY WERE MUSH AND CARMELIZED, NOT TOO APPEALING. [19 Mar 2007 07:10:13]
