I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast place on the weekends...incredible french toast and pancakes. I have also gone with work crowd and my husband and kids. Delicious burgers and very kid friendly! [03 Jun 2003 00:02:36]

Star Diner: Great Food, Great People Star Diner was one of the best experiences of my eating career. That may sound exagerated but I am telling you the truth. I walked in and was greeted by the beautiful smiles of the hostesses. Then I was taken through the immaculately kept restaurant to my table that had its own juke box! The server was fabulous timely and didn't get anything on my order wrong. The food, I ordered the Bacon Chedder Burger, was fabulous. Overall my restaurant experience was great here! New-Age Diner. If you're expecting dinre fare, this is not the restaurant for you. The prices are average for the area and the menu is catered more to the middle-class family than the diner regular. Overall it is an adequate place to eat. If you are looking for a good place to take your kids, this restaurant is very family comfortable. [15 Dec 2005 22:05:43]

So-So Diner Service is fine, and it looks like a diner. But it doesn't taste much like a diner - at least not like a good one. I've tried it a couple of times, and the food has always missed the mark. They need to hire a better kitchen crew. [26 Feb 2006 11:04:54]

What a find! This incredibly clean diner has outstanding food. Better than a "diner" with very healthy and tasty salads & plenty for vegetarians & health minded individuals. They even have a diet menu! I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go back. [29 Mar 2006 17:58:36]

I have thoroughly enjoyed eating here several times - breakfast and dinner. It is far better than any average diner. Extremely friendly, good service, and friendly atmosphere. [09 Jun 2006 15:59:00]

A first class diner with a nice family environment The Star Diner is a great place to eat while in the Kentlands area. The food is ready quickly and is very enjoyable. While you wait for your food, there is a magician named Davey Richardson that entertains you. His magic is unbelievable and is a primary addition to the diner. If you don't like the food then you'll love seeing him perform. [13 Jun 2007 17:52:20]

Potato Pancakes I don't know if they still offer Potato Pancakes on the menu, but if they do, avoid them. I ordered them twice, and both times, they were rancid; I'm surprised I didn't get sick. Also, sometimes their homemade soup is way overcooked, probably from simmering too long waiting for someone to order. I also ordered eggs with ham once. The ham was terrible... so greasy... I couldn't finish that either. On the bright side, it is a good looking diner wannabe, and the staff is friendly, but I will never go there again. [12 Dec 2007 13:43:20]

Don't Bother The food has never been good, and lately the service isn't either. Waiter's are rude and self-rightous, and the owner, when addressed with service complaints, is more likely to get into an altercation with a customer than to address his concerns. Don't go. And definitely don't bring your kids. [05 Jun 2008 09:09:07]
