TIDEWATER IS TERRIBLE- SERVICE/ENTREE
The Tidewater is a disaster: They take 1-1/4 hrs before they serve the entree.

They say that "au gratin" doesn't mean served with cheese. How absurb!! Ruined my whole meal.

The waitress and the covering manager were useless in making an accommodation and blamed the problem on me.    [16 May 2005 11:33:45]

A must stop off of 95
I've been to the Tidewater Grille 3 times - all during my treks from CT to FL on Interstate 95. It's a great, casual restaurant and I find the food to be delicious, particularly the clam chowder and the desserts, made in town. Havre de Grace is a charming town, and an easy off and on from 95. Crabcake Heaven
We have just made our 4th visit to the Tidewater in about 7 years. We stop whenever we are in the Baltimore area. The food and ambiance continue to be first rate, unfortunately the service has deteriorated. The server was friendly but terribly slow. Looking forward to another visit.
My (now) husband proposed 2 years ago at the Tidewater. Everything that night could not have been more perfect. From the food, to the atmosphere. Exquisite!
My husband had the chance to steal a few days at a B & B in Havre De Grace, and stumbled upon this gem. Our food, service, and total experience was exquisite. The chef made a personal appearace to see how pleased we were with our meal. We thanked him for making our experience unforgettable! Romantic
After reading some reviews I held concerns about the service. I was pleasantly surprised. My service was excellent. This restaurant has nice views of the bay and has outdoor seating when it is warm out. I enjoyed the rich and full flavor of the crabcakes.    [05 Apr 2007 18:45:16]
