Great View and Terrific Seafood No wonder this restaurant has been in business since 1938. Family owned and operated by the Bunting's the location at the inlet in Ocean City is prime. Great view and fresh fish is the best in town. Treat yourself and make a point to visit this OC institution. [28 Apr 2002 11:11:47]

Great for Familiies I have gone to the Angler every year we go to Ocean City. They have good seafood and an excellant boat ride after the meal. [27 Mar 2003 14:09:01]

Great Restaurant! Make sure to check it out. I've been there twice and love it. The food is great and you get a free cruise with every entree! (Who would pass that up?) Their crab soup is delicious and their fish dishes are undeniably the best. The crabs were quite good too. If you go there you won't be disappointed. [19 Jun 2007 01:46:06]

A True Beach Experience The Angler is a wonderful casual restaurant. The fresh fish is truly that, fresh, and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. The setting is lovely on the water with great views and to top it all off, the free cruise is a great deal. The cruise is about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes long and the captain explains landmarks and interesting points along the way. Don't miss this restaurant! [19 Oct 2007 11:40:34]

Recent Experience I have been a property owner in OC since 1999, and have had many pleasant dinner's at the Angler. My visit on Sunday, 8/31 was certainly not one of them.
We arrived for an early dinner at approx 4:00, and opted to dine on the patio. The hostess explained that the larger tables (out of the sun, and empty) were reserved for parties of 4. When we pointed out the early hour, and the fact that the tables were empty, she LITERALLY picked up the menu's from the smaller table & tossed them on a larger table, turned on her heel & left. My husband excused himslef to use the facilities, returned, and we waited an addition 15 minutes for a server to approach & take out drink orders. At that point we left through the front door, stopped at the front desk, advised the employee taking reservations that we would have loved to dine at the Angler, but apparently there is no waitstaff working on the patio. Our response was a shoulder shrug. We went to Harrison's and had a lovely dinner.
We rent our condo for approx 50% of the year. On the fridge is a list of recommended restaurant's. Angler has always been at the top of that list. Obviously that changed on 8/31.
When you choose to market yourself as a "fine dining experience", you most definitely need to educate your staff. [03 Sep 2008 09:22:48]
