Not New York, but pretty close OK, I'm from NY and been to quite a few New York Deli's, and this comes pretty close. They pile the meat high in their sandwiches, the desserts are big and rich, and its the only place I know of in this area where you'll find a *pickle bar*! Food quality is excellant, with many kosher meals and Dr. Brown sodas available. It also has the ambiance of a crowded New York diner, which is the one thing I could do without. The wait staff even seems a bit "rushed" - authentic New York!
It at the back of the mall, next to the movie theater. You enter through a small bakery/deli carry-out area. Here is where you can also see what they offer in the way of catering services - not just party platters, but complete meals, and they evne have their own banquet facilities if your need them. Getting to your table, you'll pass a display of their mile-high 6-layer cakes, and then the pickle bar. You'll be seated in a booth along the aisle which stretches the length of the restaurant. The menu includes a variety of interesting things more typical of New York than Maryland. You won't leave hungry. [20 May 2006 20:27:10]
