bbq cafeteria, sauce stands out
This is a long time Rockville cafeteria. Best features are the ribs, the great bbq sauce, and the best bbq beans around. Chicken is a good bet too, although the pork and brisket bbq sandwiches are not quite as good as what's offered at other bbq places. This place has been consistent over the years and it's one of my standbys. I did not rate the service since it's a cafeteria and doesn't apply.    [23 May 2000 15:42:23]

The ribs are very dry, the soft drinks are very well diluted, and the prices are much too high for the inferior merchandises.    [10 May 2006 21:57:50]

Overrated
This place is overrated and overpriced. The atmosphere though has a nice country 70s feel. Red, Hot & Blue is much better and is only minutes down the street, better prices too.    [13 Nov 2006 13:38:58]

Great Brisket
This place has the best brisket in the metropolitan DC area. If you like Texas brisket, this is the place for you.

The sides are not great. I usually just get a 1 pound of meat for the family to go.

I haven't eaten anything else on the menu. Why bother?

I like the 70s barbecue cafeteria atmosphere.    [14 Mar 2007 17:06:27]
