Once is enough!
During a visit last year, we were sorry we missed 208 Talbot. We decided this year to remedy that situation. We made our mid-week reservations and were promptly seated, even a little earlier than our scheduled time. The mushroom ravioli and soft-shelled crabs were both memorable however, we were really turned off by the wine list. My wife and I are always accustomed to enjoying a bottle of "nice" wine with our meal. Their offerings, while quite substantial, left a huge gap in moderately priced wines, i.e. $25-35 per bottle. This was the first time I can recall when we dined out and refused to order a full bottle of wine to accompany our meal. This was the only issue marring an otherwise enjoyable evening. Unless there is a huge shift in their wine pricing philosophy, this will probably be our last visit    [11 Oct 2002 09:57:11]

208 Talbot has new owners and a GREAT wine list
I just ate at 208 Talbot and under the new owners they renovated the bar and made it a wine bar and eatery with small plates, a huge wine list including all price points and a huge number of wines by the glass. The place looks way nicer than it used to and the food is even better. I would try it again for sure.    [05 Jun 2006 14:07:21]
