Description

Governor's Restaurant is part of a chain of restaurants in Maine. The theme is a parody of politics, complete with every past Maine Governor's portrait on the wall.

The theme is desserts, with cartoon characters recommending you eat dessert before your meal. Food includes numerous fried options, as well as chicken, limited fish, salads and daily specials.

You'll be entertained while you eat by the train that runs high on the wall around the restaurant.

Good homestyle cooking
Governor's has a wide selection to choose from and they all are great. If you are looking for homestyle cooking this is the place to eat. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large.    [07 Nov 2003 08:32:31]

Can't Beat Governor's

the best burger ever
We went there on the advice of locals. The best hamburger I have ever eaten. The bun was fresh baked. There was a special wrapper on it and it had to be peeled away else the insides would spill out. It was wonderful.    [01 Dec 2007 03:34:26]
