Truly the best gourmet you'll have...in Maine
Let me first start by qualifying that I am a food snob. That's right...I am by far the most critical eater I know. The New Moon is fantastic! I have only been disappointed once with the quality of food (my filet was not good to the desired setting) but they apologized without me even having to say that I didn't like it (they could tell it wasn't cooked right once I cut into it) and although they tried to resolve the issue by trying to cook it again, the "new chef" couldn't get it right. They gave me a gift certificate for the value of the meal, and though I am usually put off by this type of gesture (I mean if I don't like the food, why would you assume I would want to come back to your establishment again to use the gift cert.???) in this case I knew I would not be disappointed by another dish.

Each time I go, the staff is friendly, courteous, and by far the best service I have had in this town. The food is refreshing and the experience is an absolute joy.    [10 Feb 2009 12:57:15]
