Food is Fine, but this is not I've eaten here and the food was fine, but if you are going to eat lobster when you are in Acadia, you really should eat waterside at an honest-to-goodness lobster pound. There are plenty of honest-to-goodness lobster pounds in the vicinity with better locations, more ambiance, etc., and if I had my druthers, that's where I'd eat.
The Bar Harbor Lobsterbakes is a huge room, with rows of tables like you'd find in a church fellowship hall. Clean, but nothing special. The only reason I'd go there is if you have a really large group that needs to be fed lobster all at once, and the other, more traditional lobster places can't accommodate you. [12 Jul 2005 20:50:12]
