Inside Acadia National Park Jordan Pond House is famous for afternoon teas on the lawn overlooking Jordan Pond and for their popovers. In addition to tea they serve lunch and dinner including salads, sandwiches and full entrees which of course include lobster.

Not to be missed
If you visit Bar Harbor you will eat here. It's pretty much unavoidable. But that's not a bad thing. The view is of course breath taking but the food is also quite good. The servers - college students from around the country - are friendly and willing to chat at least when it's not crazy busy. Prepare for a huge wait in the peak summer months - 2 hours is not uncommon.    [22 Jun 2000 17:56:32]

Go for the View
Acadia is such a special place and Jordon Pond (+ its popovers) should not be missed. But dinner is mediocre, at best, and very "noisy" in some areas. Service was wonderful, but don't go for the food (other than popovers & jam)!    [12 Jul 2005 18:18:35]

It is a truely lovely area...If you have tome hike around the pond.

The food is good not great... worth a try... the popovers are great!
