I Love the Salad Bar
There are a lot of great places to eat in the Kittery/Portsmouth area but this is one of my favorites. I particularly enjoy the salad bar. They are not as common as they once were but this is one of the best. It is always well stocked and has far more to offer than the salad bar.

Try to get a booth over looking the river for a view that I enjoy year-round. Conversly, the solarium that juts into the parking lot is my least favrite room. We found it well worth the $10 to join the frequent diner program, then you can call ahead and reserve a booth and bypass the long line of tourists holding their pagers which is common on a busy weekend.

Of course seafood is the specialty. I enjoy the Cape Ann-style haddock and the many salmon dishes, but if you really enjoy salad as I do then you won't have room for a large entre. If you don't have room for desert while here there is a large selection of items near the cashier that you can purchase on the way out to enjoy latter at home.

If you are traveling through southern Maine I think this place rates a stop. It is about a mile from I95 but easy to reach.    [12 Jul 2006 17:35:08]
