Local Review I visit the Wayfarer frequently. The food has always been fresh, hot and very tasty. My favorite dishes are usually seafood based. They have some of the best shrimp and scallops I have had locally. Breakfasts are filling and all portions are very generous.
The staff is pleasant and capable, clearing plates quickly and they don't hover or come to the table too often. I am never left sitting at the table waiting to pay the bill.
The only thing that I do not like about the Wayfarer are the bathrooms. The ladies' is in the hallway between the restaurant and bar and it is very tiny. The mens' is down a flight of stairs and inconvienient to the restaurant. All in all, I would recommened this restaurant for an after-movie dinner with a group or lunch with friends. The food is good and the prices are quite reasonable. You may have a harder time getting a table in the summer months, but it is worth the wait. [12 Nov 2001 05:41:52]
