Great salad bar, friendly I'm no salad fetishist, but I compulsively take so much from the salad bar that I've little room for the entree. The food is very fresh, portions are large, the service is friendly. The decor is a nice cafe and the hours are a bit odd (last I knew, closed Saturday night), so call ahead. [28 Aug 2003 19:04:32]

Afternoon Delight is a delight for sure For the last half year or so, this has been the Sunday morning brunch delight for my fiancé and me. I have only ever been here on a Sunday morning and one can expect to wait in a line to get seated if he/she arrives after 10.30a. It isn't too long of a wait though and really it's worth it.
One of my favorite menu items is the fruit plate with frozen yogurt and muffin. The fruit has been consistently varied, plentiful and fresh while the strawberry vanilla frozen yogurt is a great companion. And the muffins! Oh, the muffins are among the best that I have ever had. You should not go to A.D. without ordering a muffin, if available. You won't be sorry.
Other dishes that we've had include omelets and sandwiches and they've all been quite good. The portions are reasonable, as are the prices and the ingredients seem to be of fairly high-quality.
The wait staff (mostly college kids -- it *is* Ann Arbor, after all) provides better than adequate service; though, on a couple of occasions we've felt a bit rushed due to their need for tables (remember the line I mentioned). Otherwise, service is pretty good.
The restaurant itself is looking a little worn out and an update/refresh would be nice but it doesn't really detract from the overall dining experience. Don't let its looks turn you off.
I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a reasonable place with above average food while in the Ann Arbor area. [15 Sep 2004 14:41:58]

highly recommend We decided to try Afternoon Delight for Sunday breakfast after reading the good reviews here on this site. I totally agree. This restaurant has such a unique variety of foods, large portions. We were both very pleased with our breakfast and will definitely recommend to anyone going to be in the area. Bad soup I stopped here for lunch and had the homemade soup. It was water with some undercooked whole vegetables with absolutely no flavour. Even Campbells was better. IT was also extremely crowded and hot. [12 Aug 2005 17:18:27]
