Middle Eastern meets diner
Ahmo's from the outside could be anything. From that impression it's a surprise to see Middle Eastern dishes next to good old American diner food on the menu.

I've never ventured to the burger side as the vegetarian platter, with grape leaves, creamy garlicky hummous and the crisp but not overdone falafel is more to my taste.    [05 Sep 2005 21:08:04]

The Ahmos Gyro- a personal favorite
I've eaten gyros at nearly every place in town, and none of the others come close to the Ahmos Gyro.

A combination of chicken and gyros meat, every Ahmos gyro I have had has been tender, flavorful and nicely done- not dry and overcooked, but not undercooked, either. The sauce nicely complements the flavor without overpowering it.

This Ahmo's location is now a regular lunch stop when I'm on the south side of town.    [21 Aug 2008 20:39:39]
