Every Town Needs a Greasy Spoon, Right?
Papa's is Armada's very own Standard Greasy Spoon restaurant. There's one in every town - only the names are different. "Breakfast Served Any Time", rice pudding, waitresses with names like "Lil" and "Marge". PROS: They have good hamburgers and omelettes, they make a pretty darned decent version of the Slim Jim, portions are generous and prices are not too bad. CONS: The place very badly needs to be scrubbed down, top to bottom, and remodeled. The bathroom is . . . well, it's gross, that's what it is. The non-smoking section is delegated to a dingy back room and is often full, while the smoking section is out in the main section, spacious and rarely fully occupied. They should switch the smoking and non-smoking sections around. They charge $1 extra if you order breakfast after noon. I guess the hens get an afternoon shift differential or something. I told them they ought to just raise the menu prices up a buck on breakfast items if they need to, and then advertise $1 *OFF* if you purchase breakfast BEFORE noon. Doesn't that sound better? Happiness is Homemade!!
Papa's is like home every time I eat there. And, actually ,they have remodeled, cleaned and added TV's. I love it even more !!!
