Friendly and Cozy Coney
Ellie's is a great local place. It's very small (I don't think there are 10 tables!), but hardly ever crowded, unless you hit the high school lunch rush! It features mostly Coney Island food, but has some authentic Greek dishes as well. The food is very good (we've tried several items and have not been let down), and extremely well-priced. Ellie's is a coney with a twist
A neighborhood best-kept-secret, Ellie's is more than just your average coney. They have excellent breakfasts, hearty dishes, and great daily specials (the fish and mac is to die for). But look a little further on the menu and you'll find a variety of Macedonian and Polish food. Ellie's is family owned and operated, and on any given day you'll find Ellie (yes, there really is an Ellie) back in the kitchen cooking her specialties.
