Garretts on Water Street OUTSTANDING!
As someone who travels for a living, I am always in search of an excellent restaurant. On a recent trip to quaint Boyne City in Northern Michigan I came across a real gem!
From the Yellowfin Sashimi to the Saute of Red Snapper (which arrived on a bed of chive'whipped potato,a ribbon of emerald green chive oil and crowned with a puff of crispy leek frills), then to finish the best creme brulee I have EVER eaten ( and that is saying a lot!)
This memorable experience in a tiny N.Michigan resort town and at a remarkably low price.
Count me in as a real fan. I will go far out of my way to return.

Won't be back !
Went there with a group of 20. They would not let us or the children order from the menu. Very expensive and the food was average. They had an attitude that came across that they were doing US a favor by allowing us to eat in their empty establishment. It sure would of been nice to order the Red Snapper as the person above who thought it was so great.    [20 Jul 2006 23:00:24]
