I have been disappointed few times when eating out and definitely this place tops my list.
The Salsa straight out of a Ragu container leaves much to be desired, it was so awful (even the waitress agreed with my wife about the Spaghetti taste) and I do have to agree that she was the only reason why I finished my dinner without walking out. They even have the nerves to charge you a $1.25 for more Salsa, are you kidding me...Out of all the Mexican places this would have to be the first time I have heard that, they might as well pay you the $1.25 for you to eat it.
The entire ambiance with Dave Matthews Band instead of any Spanish music really takes you to downtown Mexico City...doesn't it? The Pictures on the wall resembles more an Irish pub...unless Mexico has medieval Castles in the heart of Jalisco... and the Burrito Platter taste was hidden by half of a container of more Ragu Sauce. But I guess you can say that this is the best of both worlds. Mexican Food with a little taste of Italian in it.
I have a suggestion...when they bring the Chips and Salsa, please ask for a little cup of noodles, they might tastes better with it. [06 Mar 2006 11:34:27]

Food Critique
Best Servers ANYWHERE There are two servers that make the whole experience worth coming back for...the food itself is boring at best, but you do get a big bang for your dollar. The margaritas, FANTASTIC, especially if you order up. The servers are the reason that my wife and I continue to come for dinner on a regular basis. [13 Aug 2006 14:33:38]

4 out of 5 Well, I didn't get charged extra for salsa! It was just placed on the table with warm chips. I only sampled the spicy salsa which I thought was pretty darned good, so I can't really speak to the other stuff but it did look pretty bland. Hey, if I want bland, I'll go to Taco Bell. (Wait - no I won't. I'm boycotting fast food.)
I liked the enchilada dishes here, and I've also had the standard Mexican fare - burritos, combo plates, etc. The chimi's are quite good, too.
I agree with the service comment above - my waitress was a fireball - funny, quick service, and a lot of attention to us. [18 Apr 2007 12:44:14]

Great resturaunt My boyfriend and I like to walk there from our apartment. It has amazing food and the atmosphere is great as well. If you think that the ambiance is bad, you are obviously ridiculous. I love it there, the owner is great, so is the waitstaff and the salsa was very desirable. I will continue to dine there and enjoy it EVERY TIME!!! [19 Apr 2007 18:50:45]

our favorite Our family loves this place. We have enjoyed the food and service for 20+ years. Service is always great, Margaritas are the best and their Sangria can't be beat. This is truly a home town resturant. [17 Aug 2007 17:28:26]
