Night out
A group of my friends and co-workers had dinner Saturday afternoon (3:00pm) and I have eaten there several times over the past 15 years. It has always been one of the best steak houses around. Up until Saturday I have to say I have never had a bad meal. We had 13 people at our table, (reservations under Jason). The service was very poor and my steak was over cooked and I never received my potato (I had asked twice and the third time I asked the kid taking away dirty dishes for it and he said he would tell the waitress. Never received it after a third try and wasn’t asked for a drink refill.

Then to add to insult we were added on the 20% gratuity, which we all agreed would have been OK if the waitress would have taken care of us and given good service worthy of a 20% tip. Several in the group had been there before and of the 3 that was the first time for them, said they would never come back.

I felt really bad not just because of my bad experience but we had talked about eating steak all week!! I hope whatever happened that night gets fixed. Word of mouth can be the best kind of advertisement or the worst. I really like eating at Bill's and hope the next time we come in we see some real improvements or sadly it will be my last as well as others from Marshall and Battle Creek.    [17 Feb 2006 14:11:38]

Fantastic
I don't know about the last guy, but I love the place. I have been there countless times and I have never had a bad time. Some have been better than others, but the food is always top notch, and the service has been excellent to say the least. Maybe he had an off night, and that is a shame. I love the food, the LOVE the prices, and I would eat there every night if I could afford it!    [13 Feb 2007 11:03:23]

Favorite Steak House
Bill's has been my favorite steak house for years. My parents used to take me there as a child. Many fond memories of excellent meals there. Now my husband and our children (well, teens now) have ate there many times and it's a favorite place for all of us.

If you want excellent steaks at very reasonable prices this is your place. You will never go away hungry, either. Very generous portions.
