Good to Great Food at reasonable prices.
Astonishing that no one has reviewed this historic tavern/hotel/restaurant, being restored. The owner/chef prepares fine appetizers and entrees, in most cases WELL worth the money.

But for truly superb cuisine, go to Copper Harbor, between Memorial Day and mid-October, where a former Michigan House Chef has opened and been operating for many years his own restaurant. It is superb. But do, on your way there, stop in Calumet and take in the ambience and some food at the Michigan House. So far as we know, there is none finer in Calumet.    [25 Oct 2007 22:16:34]
