Definitely Worth the Drive! Whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to visit the Eagle's Nest. The food is excellent and in very generous portions. The Chef's Salad is huge! Their Mexican food is as good as anything South-of-the-border, and the Friday-Night Fish fry is the best deal anywhere. Friendly & helpful staff, with a casual atmosphere that's very family-friendly (prices are too!). The menu is quite extensive so there's something for everyone. Plus, it's RIGHT ON THE LAKE - I love this place! [04 Jul 2006 19:19:44]

The Nest; Proof You Can't Please Everyone It seems as though The Eagle's Nest is trying to please every taste. As a result, it pleases few if any. The menu is full of many wonderful sounding entrees, and all at a fair price. However, none are exceptional and others are bland. I wondered what happened to the Bill Knapps cooks, now I know.
Nothing on the menu that I've tried has a signature taste or outstanding flavor that makes you want to pass a McDonalds or other fast food restaurant.
Decor is ok, however, the lake is the real draw.
My advice, it's better to do one thing well than many things poorly. [24 Jan 2007 19:00:37]
