Today is my birthday. I love omelettes. My brohter thought I would love Gest Omelettes.

It was my fault that I forgot to mention "no lettuce" to the waitress, therefore there was lettuce in my omelette. I did tell the waitress "no biscuit or gravy" on my omelette. A half hour later (and people who were seated after my brother and me recieved their meals first...) I received a huge plate of omelette slathered with gravy. The waitress, Karen, didn't apologize....nor did she bring any water refills to our table. Needless to say the tip she received was a note that told her to repeat orders, and bring water. My brother paid the bill, and was never asked how he was or how the meal was.    [26 Dec 2004 16:48:19]

Terrible Place to go!
Where to start with this horrible experience? Let me just lay out the experiences in relatively chronological order:

1. We had to wait for coffee for 15 minutes. No apologies for the delay. However, we did get a busboy to give us water.
2. I ordered a dish and wanted to make sure the eggs were cooked all the way through (no runny eggs). Guess what? Runny eggs - it was sent back and to our surprise a SECOND waitress came by with the exact same dish with the runny eggs. (I noticed the first yolk I had already poked.)
3. The hash browns were good. Unfortunately, that's all we got to eat at this place.
4. We never received our toast during the whole ordeal. We reminded the waitress after 30 minutes and to the second waitress. The toast was a lost cause, it seems.
5. To top it off we thought that if we spoke to the manager/owner that she would help get our food right and we could FINALLY have breakfast. WE WERE WRONG! She never apologised and had the audacity to ask if we weren't going to finish the other dish! She knew we weren't eating and it was obvious that this owner/manager was not going to do anything about the poor service and the erroneous order.

Needless to say, we left citing that this was a terrible experience. I would be tempted to go to a drive-through breakfast place and eat breakfast in my car with my family rather than eat at Gest Omelettes again! At least the service in conjunction with the price, I would get would be a better value and experience.    [20 Oct 2005 23:36:36]
