Comments from Molly Abraham --- - The Detroit News; A remarkable consistency is the reason why Jack Suidan's fresh-foods cafe is still around after 19 years. He still boils chicken every morning for stocks, sandwiches and salads. Sandwiches wrapped in lavash include chicken breast with havarti cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and honey mustard, shaved baked ham with grilled onions and cheddar, but he does much more, including mideastern dishes including kibbee, falafil and shish kafta. Full scale entrees include almond-crusted whitefish, salmon Florentine, veal piccanti and sauteed lingonberry veal. Entrees include a choice of soup or salad. The quality of ingredients is high. - suggest change

Damn good food Jennifer's cafe is my grandfather's restaurant with head chef Jack Suidan who makes superb almond crusted whitefish and several other entrees. [02 Sep 2004 16:27:02]

The food was amazing My goodness we need a Jennifer’s cafe in every town. I had the almond whitefish and honey walnut chicken. I have never had a better honey walnut chicken. I would like to give special thanks to Andrew Suidan who did a miraculous job preparing the meals for us. [21 Mar 2005 09:23:48]

Go where the Chefs go! Restaurants fail 90% of the time. As a professional Chef, I know. So where do the Chefs go when they're hungry? Places like Jennifer's Cafe. I believe it's longevity is due to the chemistry between the service, cleanliness, and of course, the cuisine. Amazing dishes of simple flavors; no one being to dominant and prepared perfectly. The wallet doesn't suffer either which makes Jennifer's Cafe a regular stop instead of a "special treat" restaurant. [19 Jun 2005 17:39:08]

Awesome Restaurant We had dinner there on Monday July 18th. I must say the visit started off wonderful due to our waitress Kris. She was a lovely lady with an equally lovely personality. She made great recommendations. The food was fantastic. We dined on the maurice salad and the Chicken Florentine. Incredible!! I would recomment Jennifers Cafe to all and when you are there, ask for Kris as your server as she did an exceptional job!
We are twice a week patrons at Jennifers Cafe. Despite being a small establishment and sometimes having a wait, the quality of the food far outweighs these items. If we go with sandwiches, we go with the 9 or 14. For the entrees, we are lovers of the whitefish or the salmon.. absolutely excellent. They also have wonderful salads and a nice, but small, assortment of desserts. Around the fall, you will love the Pumpkin Cheesecake. [19 Jul 2005 13:40:23]

Great Tasting food = Return Visits When you look at Jennifer's Cafe, located at the corner of a little strip mall, you wouldn't think much of it. But once inside, you are in a great new world. The food is absolutely wonderful! Not only is the taste fantastic, but the serving portion is more than adequate, and you will probably leave with leftovers. Service was excellent. The only downfall was we had about a 10 minute wait, but after eating there, I will be returning quite often. [25 Jul 2005 12:06:36]

Great food This place has great wraps. Everything from the wrap itself to the special potato chips that come with it are good. The prices are also very reasonable. [22 Sep 2005 21:51:24]

Great little place We've only been to Jennifer's for lunch (though the dinner menu looks great), and we've always had a pretty good experience. The variety of sandwiches is amazing, and all have been good. The only downside is that the service can be slow sometimes...but the food is always good. [07 Mar 2006 14:06:17]

We are Not closing our doors. There seems to be rumors floating about that we are closing and relocating in Wixom, MI. This is NOT true. Jennifer's of Wixom is not affiliated with this restaurant and this location will continue as Jennifer's Cafe. We are a main-stay, part of the neighborhood, and enjoy where we are. We have appreciated your business over the past twenty + years and look forward to many more with you. Thank you very much for all of your concern about this rumor and for all of you who have brought this to our attention. We plan to continue serving you for as long as you will have us. Again, we are NOT closing our doors and do not intend to do so anywhere in the near future. We appreciate your business. [25 Apr 2006 22:55:42]

Incredible Food - Taste and Serving Size Hi there:
I completely recommend Jennifers Cafe. We went for Valentines Day Dinner. It was a very cozy atmosphere. The food was outstanding, from the warm bread to the excellent dessert. Service was very friendly. I would highly recommend and we will definitely eat there more often. Thank you Ed and Cindy Suidan, owners of Jennifers Cafe for a wonderful dining experience. Needs a makeover I have lived in the area for many years and don't rave about this place like most locals. While the food is good enough, the overall atmosphere and decor needs a serious makeover. As a frequent diner of many nice restaurants, I am one who appreciates the importance of a nice interior as well as good food. I dislike the atmosphere so much, I prefer carry-out (which is rare for me). For being such a successful place, I expect a makeover wouldn't be too difficult for the owners(and for that matter, a bit of a bigger place would make a lot of sense!) [31 Mar 2007 19:57:41]
