Aweswome Middle Eastern food! Badawest specializes in Middle Eastern Cuisine. I have been going to Badawest for the past 3 years and have never had a bad meal there. Their Hommous is exceptional. Their sandwiches and side items are pretty fairly priced, but tend to be pretty pricy when you get into the meals, but if you can afford to spend it that night, I highly recommend the Shwarma Plate which comes with Chicken and Steak with sides of Shwarma sauce and Tahini on top of a generous Yellow Rice pilaf for about 13.50, but you get your money's worth. That or the vegetarian plate for roughly the same price, but comes with two side dishes of Hommous, a side dish of grape leaves, a side dish of Falafels, a side dish of tahini, and a piece of spinach pie. Also, two monkeys of hommous(1.95 ea) and a Chicken Shwarma Sandwich(3.50) is a wonderful quick meal for under 10 dollars. Oh, they also sell raw juices. I have seen: carrot, mango, orange, apple, and lots of others that I can't think off hand, that they process right in the restaurant. I also recommend drinking water with all of their meals if you don't have a fondness for raw juices. Anything that is too overpowering such as carbonated beverages or Brisk Iced Tea ruins the palate of absolutely wonderful dishes. [06 Sep 2003 13:12:02]

Greek Salad, Hummus and grape leaves are exceptional. Hummus is best I've ever eaten, period.
The only thing that Badawest should do differently is invest in an oven and make their own pita. I understand they buy it in bulk, freeze it, and defrost and serve as needed, and you can tell. [18 May 2004 11:11:49]

Worth the two hour drive I realized how spoiled I was when I lived in Flint. The hummus is the best anywhere and mixed with the Shwarma and the Fatoosh salad, it is the best meal you will ever eat. [13 Feb 2007 17:01:32]
