Way better
Service food etc is WAYYYYYYY better than another German restaurant in town. THe food is ALMOST the same, just a lot better.    [23 Mar 2005 23:03:26]

It's about the decor, not the food
They like to cram you in, even when it's not crowded. Wait staff are more like food runners that attentive servers. Fruit bread was delicious. Soup was watery and barely warm . Salad type starters of macaroni salad, beets, cottage cheese, cole slaw, cranberries were nothing special.

Waited a long time between salads and main course.

Chicken was good. White meat tender and juicy. Very small gravy "cup" with soup spoon for serving large table, gravy cold and not very good. Request for additional potatoes and chicken took a very long time. Had to request additional drinks before we finally got them.

A birthday cake had been ordered for dessert, but arrived long after staff brought ice cream. Staff had to take cake back to kitchen to be cut. We got the coffee we asked for, but the kids didn't get their pop, after waiting for 10 min after cut cake arrived without forks. Going to Frankenmuth for special occasions is a tradition. We'll go back as always, but it's really about the memories, the quaint parts of town, the spectacular decor especially during the holidays and the chicken. The rest of meal is nothing notable and service is very hit and miss.    [22 Apr 2007 00:23:19]
