Located right next to the Kal-Haven bike Trail in Gobles, Jan's has been in operation for ten years. It's a family-style place with a very comfortable atmosphere. The food is good, the helpings generous, the service excellent, and the prices very reasonable.

Jan allows smoking in the area near the front door, which pretty much eliminates non-smokers' comfort in that room. ("A non-smoking section in a room is like a non-peeing section in a swimming pool.") There is also a "Riff Raff Room" where smokers can hang out, but there is a non-smoking central dining room where I didn't detect a trace of smelly smoke.    [17 Jun 2007 12:34:34]
