Really bad food.
My wife and I ate there a few times when we first moved to Grand Ledge six years ago, and found the service ok, and the ambiance ok, but the food was generally flavorless, which might explain why it's popular here in the mid-west. I haven't eaten there in four years, when last night (Jan 2006), we decided to get some carry out. This time my food was not flavorless, in fact, it tasted decidedly bad. It did serve as a reminder why we haven't eaten there in four years, though.    [11 Jan 2006 11:50:13]

GREAT FOOD FOR A GREAT PRICE
The dishes that I have tried in the past were delicious! I would have to say that House of Hsu is one of the top Chinese restaurants in the Grand Ledge/Lansing area. The flavor and presentation of the food always met my standards.

Whenever I go to this restaurant I feel like I am getting SO much food for so little money. For example my mom my sister and I went to House of Hse and only had to pay about $20.00! We each ordered one plate each with an appetizer and had tons left over!

The waiters were helpful and did their job quickly and efficiently but I have felt that the waiters were really quiet and didn't seem to want to bother you with anything, which is fine with me, but for some people they like to have a nice friendly outgoing waiter. The cleanliness of the tables was OK but it wasn't great. Everything else was clean. This restaurant is quite every time I go to eat at it and there wasn’t any big noise coming from the kitchen. I thought that the lights were WAY too dim. So instead of going to the restaurant for my birthday I am going to cater/order it in.    [16 Sep 2006 22:54:36]

HOUSE OF HSU......MMM GOOD
